Sound.Score: The composition—or scoring—of sound as dictated by visual elements.

For this project, I was inspired by the practice of neurographic drawing and tracing rhythmically!, a previous project I worked on. I find it fascinating that we can directly translate musical sound into visual output (i.e. drawing from music as Kandinsky did) and was curious if we could do the inverse. I sought to find a way to basically code audio outputs from a set of drawn characters. I chose to make this an interactive web activity where participants collaborate with each other to come up with and log their own tune.
